John was down here giving me a hard time about not maintaining my department logs. Everyone is on high stress after the Borg distress call indicates that there may not just be others, but countless others. John launched into me about the performance of engineering. I could not take it anymore.
"John. Yes, I call you John... The damn ship was going warp 9.9 for over an hour. She did fine. If you want to yell at anyone, yell at your night shift crew. The alarms went off. I came here and the ship functioned perfectly. We have cleanup and repairs to do. The ladies should have given us a warning. We could have went to yellow alert, warmed the antimatter chamber and not givenher such a shock.", I yelled at John.
He smiled and promised me some help.
Marine Captain Nikki Elliott and Lieutenant Autumn Laree were soon in Engineering washing tubes and replacing conduits. The girls needed to know what those kinds of mistakes mean. We could have all been killed.
